Tuesday-Thursday Adult/Child Workshops: Ages 3-5 accompanied by an adult, 10-11:30 a.m. Cost for each three-day series: $30 members/$45 others, per child.

Crafty Critters: Mint Museum of Art, June 10-12. Find animals in artwork throughout the galleries then create a 3-D zoo of papier mache sculptures.

Wiry Constructions: Mint Museum of Craft and Design Charlotte, June 17-19. Construct wire sculptures inspired by Raymon Elozua’s art.

Kaleidoscope: Mint Museum of Craft + Design, July 1-3. Use cellophane, colored glass beads, cardboard tubes and reflective surfaces to make a kaleidoscope.

Wall Flowers: Mint Museum of Art, July 8-10. Create a wall pocket to hold a bouquet, pose for an old-fashion silhouette portrait surrounded by a wallpaper border, and create a painted flower garden on a plate.

Basic Art Camps (Monday-Friday camp): Grades 1-3: June 23-27, July 7-11, July 28-Aug 1, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Grades 4-6: July 21-25, l0 a.m.-2 p.m. Mint Museum of Art, North Carolina. Weeklong basic exploration of art materials, techniques, and expressions. Students will use line, shape, color, and texture through creative drawing, painting, and 3-D lessons. Cost: $130 member/ $145 others.

Teen and special exhibition camps

Drawing from Life: Grades 7 and up. June 24-26. 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Mint Museum of Art. Explore contour, gesture, and tone from observation in pencil, ink, graphite and watercolor. Cost: $75 member/$90 others.

Earth, Air, Fire & Water: Grade 7 and up. July 7-11, 10 a.m.-2 p.m., Mint Museum of Art. Create clay sculptures inspired from nature. Unity of surface decoration and experimental forms emphasized. Cost: $130 members/$145 others.

Get on Track!: Grades 4-6. July 14-18, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Mint Museum of Craft + Design. Explore landscapes made of clay and work with fellow campers to landscape an actual train track environment. Cost: $125 members/$145 others.

Sign of the Times: Age 12 and older. July 21-25, 10 a.m.-2 p.m., Mint Museum of Craft+Design. Explore the original signs and billboards of Charlotte with your camera, and convert your photographs into a three-dimensional sculpture.Cost: $130 member/$145 nonmember
